Prices and discounts
At Alsa, we work to offer the best travel conditions for all of our customers, including passengers with disabilities and their companions.
In addition to the advantages of our Alsa Plus loyalty programme and the different promotions we run on specific dates or for specific routes, our passengers with disabilities are also offered:
Passengers with a degree of disability equal to or greater than 33%, and one of their companions, enjoy a 15% discount on all our long-distance and regional routes.
In this case, it is essential to show proof of this discount when boarding the bus.
This discount may not be combined with other special fares, promotions or discounts (except for the Large Family discount).
Furthermore, on certain routes, there are other additional discounts that improve on this discount. Check the conditions when purchasing your ticket.
If you wish to travel seated in a conventional seat on the bus instead of in your wheelchair, you can do so at no extra cost.
We have adapted our sales process so that you can easily let us know that you wish to transfer to this seat. That way it will be reserved for you when you board the vehicle. Here you will find more detailed information.
If you are a wheelchair user and need help to transfer to a conventional seat, or to board the vehicle if your wheelchair is in the hold, Alsa provides you with a free ticket for your companion to help you with this task.
This companion must travel with you for the entire journey, to help you at stops along the way or in the event of any incident during the journey. Here you will find more detailed information.
If you have an intellectual or developmental disability, with a degree of disability equal to or greater than 33%, you will be able to travel with your support person on the same bus with some benefits.
Your support person will be able to travel with you free of charge and you will have a 15% discount on your ticket.
This discount is valid for all Alsa routes between different provinces and for some regional services in Spain.
For example, if a ticket costs €20, you will only pay €17 and your companion will travel free of charge.
How can you apply for the discount?
To be able to enjoy this benefit you have to register.
Registering means that you have to give your details to a company or website; in this case, the company is Alsa.
You can register by filling out the following form.
In the form you have to attach your Disability Certificate. A Disability Card is not accepted, only the Disability Certificate is valid.
Alsa will review the documentation you have sent and validate it with Plena Inclusión Madrid and will reply within 10 days.
Your subscription to this service lasts for five years. After that time, you can renew your subscription for another five years.
How can you buy tickets with this discount?
Call +34 900 814 114, say that you are a beneficiary of the “free support person” discount and give your ID number.
If you cancel your ticket, you must also cancel your support person’s ticket.
In addition to the general discounts above, we sometimes offer some additional allowances for our passengers with disabilities.
For more details, please see the pages dedicated to each of these services:
