Boarding, disembarking and rest stops
If you have a disability, the driver will:
- Help you place your luggage in the hold.
- Assist you in placing your personal belongings on the luggage racks.
You may carry items such as walking sticks or crutches on board, provided you can store them in such a way that does not obstruct the passage of other passengers or put them in danger.
If you have booked a ticket to travel with your wheelchair in the space for PRM in wheelchairs, the driver will:
- Check that your wheelchair meets the conditions for boarding the bus.
- Assist you in boarding/disembarking using the lifting platform.
- Secure/release the wheelchair to/from the vehicle floor.
- In the event that you transfer to a seat on the bus, for the safety of both the passenger and Alsa staff, you must transfer by your own means or with the help of a companion.
If you have booked a ticket to stow your wheelchair in the hold, the driver will:
- Check that your wheelchair meets the conditions for being stowed in the hold.
- Stow and secure your wheelchair in the hold.
- For the safety of both the passenger and Alsa staff, you should board on your own or with the help of a companion.
If you wish to disembark during the rest stop, the driver will:
- Facilitate you in the process of disembarking and boarding, and that of your wheelchair.
- Advise you of the need to return to the vehicle in good time so as not to cause delays.
